Multiscale Material Modelling (MMM) and Integrated Computational Material Engineering (ICME) approaches are increasingly being recognized as vital components for a successful design of numerous novel nano-enabled products and enhanced production technologies. The main challenge here is coupling and linking of models describing phenomena at different scales, from the nano-scale up to the device or macroscopic scale. Such challenge can be met by integrated frameworks that facilitate application of various multi-physics models in tandem and enable the predictive design of novel materials optimised for specified applications.
The workshop will cover recent developments in coupling and linking of models and methods for advanced nano-enabled Multiscale Materials Modeling and ICME approaches in industry.
The workshop is organized by 6 different EU supported projects, which have the overarching goal to collaborate on developing data standards and interoperability interfaces for various tools and creating integrated multiscale modelling environments for nano-enabled materials.
